Scope and roles
Camie AI, operated by Camie Tech, provides lead conversion, appointment booking, AI follow-up, reminder, tracking, and reporting services for residential solar companies and other appointment-based businesses. Depending on the engagement, Camie AI may process information on behalf of a customer or process limited information for our own website, sales, support, and service operations.
Customers remain responsible for the lead sources they connect, the permissions they collect, and the instructions they give us.
Information we process
We may process information such as:
- Lead and customer contact and business details, including name, work email, mobile number, company, role, and website.
- Form progress and qualification responses, including ad channels and spend, team size, CRM, priorities, and timing.
- SMS consent and preference records, including consent status, timestamp, source page, disclosure version, and the related phone number.
- Campaign source, offer context, and lead status.
- Conversation history and communication preferences.
- Appointment details, reminders, attendance, and outcomes.
- Website analytics, IP address, country inferred from IP, device information, and support requests.
How we use information
We use information to deliver and improve the service, respond to leads, assess service fit, manage appointment journeys, support customer teams, measure campaign outcomes, prevent misuse, preselect the appropriate phone country code, and maintain reliable operations. We do not use connected lead data to sell unrelated products to those leads.
Google Calendar and Google Sheets
Google Calendar and Google Sheets are optional integrations that you authorize separately. This section applies to Google user data, including information derived from it, and takes precedence over any broader statements elsewhere in this policy about use, sharing, or retention.
Information we access and why
Account and authorization: We receive your connected Google account email, granted permissions, and OAuth access and refresh tokens. The email identifies the connection; the tokens allow authorized features to work when you are not signed in to Camie. We do not receive your Google password.
Google Calendar:We read your primary calendar's time zone and free/busy periods to offer appointment times. For booking and reminders you enable, we read event identifiers, titles, descriptions, start and end times, attendee names and email addresses, and conference links. Camie can create, reschedule, and cancel booking events on your primary calendar and request Google Meet links. We use these details to manage appointments, avoid scheduling conflicts, and deliver the reminders you configure.
Google Sheets:We access spreadsheets you select through Google Picker or create through Camie. We read the selected file's identifier and title, worksheet names and identifiers, and column headers so you can select a tab and map lead fields. We write campaign lead details, including contact information and fields you map, into that worksheet. Camie does not request Drive-wide browsing permission.
Information we store
We store the connection email, authorization tokens and permissions, account and campaign identifiers, selected spreadsheet and worksheet identifiers, and field mappings. Booking details, event identifiers, reminder settings, and execution records are stored as needed to operate the enabled features, track their results, and prevent duplicate actions.
AI assistance and prohibited uses
An AI scheduling assistant you enable may process relevant availability and booking context to propose or manage appointments. This is processing to deliver your requested feature. We do not use Google Workspace APIs or data obtained through them to develop, improve, or train non-personalized or generalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models. This restriction also applies to transfers of Google data to third-party AI providers.
We do not sell Google user data, provide it to data brokers or information resellers, use it for advertising or retargeting, or use it to assess creditworthiness or for lending. Google data is used only to provide or improve the user-facing integration features described here.
Sharing and human access
- Google and your chosen recipients: Google receives the booking or spreadsheet information sent through its APIs. Invited attendees may receive event details, and people with access to your selected spreadsheet may see the rows written there.
- Service providers: Hosting and database providers store integration records. AI providers, such as OpenAI when configured, may process relevant scheduling context for an assistant you enable. Communications providers may process recipient contact details and appointment information to deliver reminders you configure. Transfers are limited to what is needed for those features and require your consent; providers may not use Google data for their independent advertising or generalized model training.
- Limited exceptions: We may disclose Google data when necessary for security, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets after obtaining your explicit prior consent.
We do not allow personnel to read Google user data unless you affirmatively agree to access to specific data, access is necessary for security or legal compliance, or the data is aggregated and used for internal operations as permitted by Google's Limited Use requirements and applicable law. Camie AI's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
How we protect Google data
We use HTTPS/TLS for data transmitted between your browser, Camie's public services, and Google APIs. Integration management requires an authenticated Camie account, and access to connection records is checked against account and campaign ownership. Credentials are stored on the server and used for authorized API requests; Google Sheets credentials are encrypted before database storage. A short-lived access token is supplied to Google Picker when you select a spreadsheet. These measures help prevent unauthorized access, use, and disclosure.
Retention, disconnection, and deletion
We retain Google connection records while needed for an integration or a reusable account connection. Booking and reminder records are kept while needed to deliver your selected features, prevent duplicate actions, resolve operational issues, or meet applicable security and legal obligations.
- Disconnecting Calendar: Disables the connection but does not automatically delete its stored record or authorization tokens.
- Disconnecting a Sheets campaign:Removes that campaign's destination but leaves the reusable Google account connection. Disconnecting the Sheets account removes its connection records.
- Revoking Google authorization:You can revoke Camie's access through Google Account connections. Calendar and Sheets use the same OAuth client, so revocation may interrupt both integrations. Revocation does not delete existing Google events, spreadsheet rows, or records already stored by Camie.
To request deletion of stored Google connection data, tokens, or associated booking and reminder records, email privacy@camie.ai with your Camie account email, connected Google account email, and the records or campaign concerned. Do not send passwords or tokens. We verify your identity, review the request, and delete records that are no longer needed or must be erased under applicable law. We explain any records we must retain for security or legal reasons. Copies in existing backups, if any, may remain until those backups are retired. Deleting Camie records does not itself remove events or rows from your Google account; you control those through Google Calendar or Sheets.
Changes to Google data use
If we change how we access or use Google data, we update this policy and notify affected users. Before accessing additional data or using it for a new purpose, we obtain any consent required by Google's policies and applicable law.
Retention and security
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the service, contractual obligations, dispute resolution, and legal requirements. We use secure transmission, authenticated access, and server-side credential storage to protect information. Google data follows the specific protections and retention rules in the Google integrations section above. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
People may ask to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain information where applicable. Leads may also opt out of further communications using the instructions provided in the conversation. Some requests may need to be handled by the solar company or other business that collected the lead.
