Camie AI Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Camie AI (“Camie AI”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data when providing the Camie AI platform.

1. Key Definitions

For clarity, this policy uses the following terms:

Customer

A Customer is a business or organization that subscribes to and uses the Camie AI platform.

Lead

A Lead is an individual whose personal data is collected, processed, or communicated with using Camie AI on behalf of a Customer.

Personal Data

Any information that identifies or relates to an identifiable individual.


2. Our Role in Data Processing

  • When processing Customer account data, Camie AI acts as a data controller.
  • When processing Lead data, Camie AI acts as a data processor, processing data solely on behalf of and under the instructions of the Customer.

Camie AI does not have a direct relationship with Leads and does not determine the purposes for which Lead data is collected.


3. Personal Data We Process

3.1 Customer Data

We process the following categories of Customer data:

  • Account and contact information (name, email, company details)
  • Billing and payment information (processed via third-party payment providers)
  • Platform usage data, configuration settings, and audit logs
  • Communications with Camie AI (support requests, emails, messages)

3.2 Lead Data

On behalf of Customers, we may process the following Lead data:

  • Identifiers such as name, phone number, and email address
  • Call recordings, raw audio files, and call metadata
  • Transcripts generated from calls and conversations
  • SMS, email, chat messages, and conversation content
  • Appointment details, outcomes, and qualification information
  • IP address and device information when web-based tools are used

Leads may voluntarily provide additional information during conversations. Customers are responsible for ensuring appropriate consent is obtained.


4. Call Recording, Transcripts, and AI Processing

  • Calls are recorded by default when Camie AI voice features are enabled by a Customer.
  • Raw audio and transcripts are stored to provide the service, analytics, quality review, and Customer-controlled workflows.
  • Data is processed using automated systems, including AI models, to generate responses, summaries, and actions.

Camie AI does not use Customer or Lead data to train public or foundation AI models.


5. Data Retention

  • Data is retained until deleted by the Customer.
  • Customers may delete recordings, transcripts, and related data at any time using the platform tools.
  • Upon account termination, data is deleted within a reasonable period, unless retention is legally required.

Customers are responsible for configuring retention and deletion settings in accordance with applicable laws.


6. Subprocessors and Service Providers

Camie AI uses trusted third-party service providers (“subprocessors”) to deliver the platform, including:

  • Voice and communications providers
  • AI and language model providers
  • Analytics providers
  • Infrastructure and hosting providers

A current list of subprocessors is maintained as a living document and may be updated from time to time.


7. Cookies, Analytics, and Tracking

Camie AI and Customer-deployed landing pages may use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies, including analytics and remarketing tools such as Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and Meta Pixel.

Where applicable, Camie AI processes personal data based on:

  • Performance of a contract
  • Legitimate interests
  • Compliance with legal obligations
  • Customer instructions when acting as a processor

9. Data Subject Rights

Depending on your location, individuals may have rights to:

  • Access, correct, or delete personal data
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Data portability
  • Withdraw consent

Leads should direct requests to the relevant Customer. Camie AI will assist Customers in responding to requests where required by law.


10. International Data Transfers

Personal data may be processed in countries outside your jurisdiction. Where required, Camie AI relies on appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses.


11. Data Security

Camie AI implements technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data, including encryption, access controls, and audit logging.


12. Children's Data

Camie AI is not intended for use by children and does not knowingly process personal data of individuals under the age required by applicable law.


13. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted with a revised effective date.
